Colinas del Sol
Libertad, Guanacaste, Costa Rica
Realtors always say “Location, Location, Location”, and it’s just as true in Costa Rica as it is everywhere else.
Location is important, but at Colinas del Sol we not only have the right location but we also have the right price.
We encourage you to researching the vastly diverse regions of Costa Rica before deciding where you want to live.
If being near the beach, hospitals, airport, shopping, restaurants, golf, and nightlife and owning a large property (at least 1 1/4 acre each) in a quiet location where you can also build a guest house, have a big pool, plant a garden, grow fruit trees and have plenty of space, then Colinas del Sol is for you.
Colinas del Sol is located in the Northwest Pacific area of Costa Rica which is known for it’s large English speaking “expat” population, great weather and beautiful beaches.

The Colinas del Sol retirement/vacation development is approx. 15 miles, or 20 minutes, from the International Airport in Liberia, Costa Rica. This makes it easy to get in and out of the country, and easy to get to the airport to pick up friends and relatives who are sure to come to visit.
The capitol of Guanacaste province is Liberia, which is about 25 minutes from our project, and has modern facilities. There is also ambulance service within a few minutes. Our project is between the airport and the beaches. We are about 8 miles, or 15 minutes from the beach communities of Playa del Coco, and Playa Hermosa. There is a large population of Americans and Canadians in both beach communities.
There are many luxury resorts in the area already, such as the new Four Seasons Resort across the bay, Occidental Grand Papagayo, Premiere Fiesta Resort, and many more. Major American hotel chains are building new resorts, and the entire area is growing.
We are in a rural setting, so it’s nice and quiet, but still close to everything.
The problem with most of the expensive “ocean view” lots is that they are only a view, and one cannot even walk to the beach from most of them. Ocean view lots are primarily on mountain terrain, so development cost is much more, and after the expense of building, there isn’t anything to do all day except sit by one’s own pool. Boring after awhile?
Common Area Facilities
A primary focus for this development is that there be a lot to do. Sure having an ocean view lot would be nice, but when it comes down to it, the ocean view lots are primarily on mountain terrain, so development costs are much more; after the expenses of building, there isnt much else to do, but stare at the ocean.
