Location is very important but at Colinas del Sol, we not only have the right location but we also have the right price. We encourage you to research the vastly diverse regions of Costa Rica before deciding where you want to live.
If being near the beach and developed services and amenities, as well as owning a large property of at least 1 and a quarter acres in a quiet location is what you want, then Colinas del Sol is for you.
Colinas del Sol is located in the Northwest Pacific area of Costa Rica which is known for its large English speaking "expat" population, great weather and beautiful beaches.
The Colinas del Sol project is approximately 15 miles or 20 minutes from Liberia International Airport, meaning it's to get in and out of the country to pick up friends and relatives who are sure to visit.
The capitol of Guanacaste province is Liberia which is about 25 minutes from our project and has modern facilities. Our project is right between the airport and the coast.
We are about 8 miles or 15 minutes from the beach communities of Playa del Coco and Playa Hermosa. There is a large population of Americans and Canadians in both areas.
There are many luxury resorts in the area already such as the new Four Seasons Resort across the bay, Occidental Grand Papagayo, Secrets Resort, RIU Resort and Casino and many more. The entire Papagayo area has been growing tremendously, with new resorts and condo developments popping up.
Since Colinas del Sol is in a local community, it's much quieter but still close to everything.
An important part of this project is permaculture and orchards the community can do so easily. This project greatly reduces the cost of living and it's always fun to pick your own fruits and veggies.

In addition to the bananas, avocados, mangos, plantains bananas, limes, oranges, starfruit, papaya and other trees already growing on Colinas, we have planted the following
