Hop a boat tour through Palo Verde National Park, one of Costa Rica’s best birdwatching destinations. Board an ATV to explore Guanacaste’s backroads – and there are many! Or, chill out on a catamaran tour – a morning, afternoon or evening cruise to snorkeling bays, photo ops, and incredible sunsets that paint the horizon in brilliant shades of red, orange, purple and pink.

Dominical is like an old hippie surfer type beach, a lot of fun to look around, watch surfers hit the bigger waves, and have a cocktail or two just enjoying the scenery. Not a day trip, this is quite a way past Jaco and about 6 hours to get there.

This is a fantastic beach that goes for miles in and near the town of Samara, which is about 2 hours from Colinas.
Highway 34 is typical of major roads, smooth and well maintained. It goes from near Puntareanr and all the way to the Panama border past Golfito.
Highway 1 intersects near the border. Highway 1 is the Pan-American border from Nicaragua to Panama through Costa Rica and all way to Mexico and beyond.
